Cleveland woman charged with burglary and entering auto in Hall County

A Cleveland woman is in custody, facing charges in connection with a burglary and entering auto incident on the north end of Hall County last month.

Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies took Kasey Lorine Friel, 27, into custody early Friday morning, August 18.

Investigators obtained warrants for Friel’s arrest on charges of first-degree burglary and entering auto, both felonies, on July 26. Tips from the community helped investigators identify Friel as the suspect after the original lookout with photos was posted on social media.

According to the preliminary investigation, on the morning of July 16, between approximately 9:20 and 10:40, Friel entered the victim’s home in the 8900 block of Skitts Mountain Road without consent, ransacked a portion of it, and stole a machete. Friel also entered the same victim’s vehicle on the property and rummaged through it, a sheriff’s spokesperson says.

Friel was booked in at the Hall County Jail, and her bond was set at $8,100.
