A Cleveland woman has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault that occurred in the city earlier this year. 30-year-old Brooke Angelle Cila was arrested Wednesday.
Cleveland Police Chief Jeff Shoemaker says Cila’s arrest stems from an investigation that began in May of this year. According to Shoemaker, Cila is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with a person under her care. The victim was a minor at the time of the alleged incident.
Arrest records show Cila is charged with improper sexual contact by an employee or agent first degree and violating her probation. She was booked at the White County Detention Center where she remains in custody.
Chief Shoemaker says the case remains under investigation.
Online jail records show Cila previously spent four months in jail on an unrelated matter. She was arrested in September 2019 for violating probation following her arrest for criminal trespass, making false statements, and falsely reporting a crime.
