Habersham EMS transported a 14-year-old boy to the hospital Friday morning following a wreck in Cornelia.
Braydin Austin of Cleveland sustained minor injuries in the crash around 7:35 a.m. on Level Grove Road, troopers say.
According to the Georgia State Patrol’s preliminary investigation, Braydin was a passenger in a Ford Fusion driven by 19-year-old Aaliyah Elizabeth Austin. They were traveling southbound on J Warren Road. Troopers say Aaliyah Austin failed to yield at the intersection and attempted to cross over Level Grove Road. A Toyota Rav4 traveling east on Level Grove struck the front of the Fusion. The impact caused the Fusion to run off the roadway into a ditch.
The Rav4 driver, Danielle Brooke Ingram, 29, of Gray, Georgia, told troopers she couldn’t stop once she saw the other vehicle.
Neither driver was injured.
Braydin Austin sustained apparent minor injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for treatment.
The investigating trooper charged Aaliyah Austin with failure to yield the right of way.
