(Cleveland)- The Public Works Department in the City of Cleveland is urging sewer customers to be aware of what you flush down the toilet.
With the run on toilet paper, consumers have been purchasing other options like wipes.
Public Works officials say “Please do not flush wipes, or any kind, down the toilet. Wipes plug-up the pipes.
The product may state “flushable” but in fact, will not degrade in the system.” Using the wipes or other material will cause a backup of the sewer system.
