Funeral services were held Monday for a local Dairy Queen manager who was killed Friday in a two-car crash on GA 365 in south Habersham County.
25-year-old Johnathan Kelley died when the 2010 Nissan Altima he was driving was struck on the driver’s side by a 2003 Jaguar sedan.
Kelley was traveling east on Wilbanks Road attempting to cross over GA 365 when he ran into the path of the Jaguar in the right southbound lane, according to the Georgia State Patrol. After impact, Kelley’s car rotated and came to a rest off the east shoulder of the highway. The Jaguar, driven by 44-year-old Ronnie Humphreys of Gainesville, came to a stop in the left travel lane.
Humphreys was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to TFC Travis Sanders with Patrol Post 7 in Toccoa.
Kelley lived in Cleveland. He was a 2010 graduate of Habersham Central High School and a general manager with Dairy Queens of Habersham County.
He leaves behind a wife and three children.
