Cleveland man charged with aggravated assault and home invasion

CLEVELAND – A Cleveland man has been charged with aggravated assault and home invasion.
On August 22 the White County Sheriff’s Office responded to 113 Salvia Hill Drive in Sautee in reference to an aggravated assault, according to WCSO Capt. Clay Hammond. When deputies arrived, they were advised 38-year old John Christopher Lowrey entered the victim’s residence, armed in search of someone he believed was there.
After the suspect was confronted by the victim, who was also armed, Lowrey fled the scene.
According to Hammond, investigators executed a search warrant on Lowrey’s residence. He was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault, home invasion 1st degree, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and giving false name or date of birth to a law enforcement officer.
