Although the Cleveland Municipal Election isn’t until November, the Cleveland City Council has set the 2025 qualifying fees and officially set the election date.

During this week’s meeting, the council approved setting the election date as November 4, 2025. Two council seats are open this year: Ward 3, currently held by Jeremy McClure, and Ward 4, held by CJ McDonald. Both positions are for four-year terms that begin January 1, 2026.

Qualifying for the two seats will be held at the Cleveland City Clerk’s office from Monday, August 18, through Friday, August 22, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. each day.

The council set the qualifying fee at $108 for each seat.

The last day to register to vote will be Tuesday, October 6, 2025.

The municipal election process will be contracted out to the White County Elections.
