(Cleveland)- Following a small number of people participating in the early voting in Cleveland and Helen officials are urging voters to make plans to go to the polls Tuesday.
In Cleveland there is a referendum question that asks voters to decide if the city should allow the sale of distilled spirits or alcoholic beverages on Sunday’s beginning at 11 a.m. instead of the current start at 12:30 p.m. As for as candidates all three positions Mayor, and City Council wards 1 and 2, each incumbent was unchallenged.
In Helen, voters will choose two city commission seats: incumbents Jeff Ash and Cinnamon Spurlock, and former commissioner Fred Garmon are vying for one of the two spots.
Voting will take place at Helen City Hall from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For Cleveland residents, voting will take place at Cleveland First Baptist Church.
