Paramedics airlifted a Clarkesville woman to the hospital today following an accident on Ga. 75 north of Helen.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, Julie Jeree McCleese, 56, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries when her car ran off the road and overturned down a steep embankment. The wreck happened just north of Tray Mountain Road. The Hyundai Veloster McCleese was driving landed on its roof on the edge of Spoilcane Creek.
White County EMS transported McCleese to Helen where a medical helicopter picked her up and flew her to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
The State Patrol says no charges will be filed.
