The Clarkesville City Council will meet Monday to discuss veteran parking within the city limits and the sale of city property for a utility easement. The items will be discussed in its work session and regular meeting.

Veteran parking

The council will discuss reserved parking for veterans in the city. This will be the first discussion on the matter with the council. Currently, the city does not have any designated parking spaces for veterans. Designating where those spaces will be located will be part of the discussion during the council’s work session.

Easement

The council will take action during its regular meeting to sell a utility easement to Georgia Power. The power company has requested the easement on city property at the City Shop on Robertson Loops Road.

The Clarkesville City Council will meet Monday, July 8. The work session will begin at 5 p.m. and the regular meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Both meetings will be held at Clarkesville City Hall at 123 North Laurel Drive in Clarkesville.
