The entertainment and fireworks show scheduled for Friday evening, May 20th in Pitts Park have been postponed because of the threat of torrential rain and thunderstorms forecast for the region.
They’ve been rescheduled for Friday, July 15th at Sam Pitts Park in Clarkesville. The event will be called “Red, White & Tunes.”
Mountain Laurel Festival activities will go on as scheduled – rain or shine- for Saturday, May 21st, beginning with the Mountain Laurel Parade at 10am.
Conditions are expected to clear early Saturday.
