Police say a Clarkesville woman who was reported missing nine days ago has been found safe in the Atlanta/Decatur area.
Clarkesville Police Chief Brad Barrett says 23-year-old Rebecca “Becca” Elaine Wood contacted her family after she found out they filed a missing person report.
“An officer there did make contact with her and did a welfare check,” says Barrett.
Wood’s parents reported their daughter missing on March 22 after family and friends were unable to contact her for severals weeks.
