Jonathan Clark sought after fleeing from his home. Two others arrested during drug search and seizure operation in Habersham and Rabun Counties
A Clarkesville man is being sought by law enforcement after officers say they discovered drugs and a handgun during a search of his residence.
38-year-old Jonathan Clark fled from his home on 110 Robertson Loop Road. Officials say they found 39 marijuana plants growing growing inside and outside the house while executing a search warrant on Tuesday. Methamphetamine and a handgun were also found, according to Mitchell Posey with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO).
Clark is charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He’s remains at large.
Two men were taken into custody after discovering two other marijuana grows.
Posey says Habersham County authorities found five marijuana plants during a search of Jake Pritchett’s residence at 674 Bear Gap Road in Clarkesville. The 26-year-old Pritchett was arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana.
57-year-old Ralph Owens of Clayton also is charged with manufacturing marijuana. Rabun County authorities say they found nine marijuana plants at his residence located at 252 Luther Owens Road.
The drug busts were part of a joint operation between the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, Rabun County Sheriff’s Office, ARDEO and the Governor’s Task Force/Drug Suppression unit.
The total street value of the marijuana seized is $53,000.
