A single-vehicle rollover wreck north of Clarkesville Saturday night resulted in the arrest of a Habersham County man.

Jordan Lee Mize, 29, of Clarkesville, was traveling on Stonepile Road toward his home on Chickasaw Ridge when he entered a curve near a residence at 1925 Stonepile Road. The black Chevrolet Traverse Mize was driving left the roadway, went into the ditch and overturned, says Sgt. Kris Hall of the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office HEAT Unit. The vehicle landed on its roof.

Hall says Mize fled the scene and was found in the bed at his house within a few minutes of the wreck. Although he said he had been home asleep, Mize was covered in cuts and scrapes.

The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office charged Mize with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, driving too fast for conditions, failure to maintain lane, and no seatbelt.

Online records show he was released from jail on a $2982.50 bond.
