Clarkesville council to interview applicants for city manager’s job

Clarkesville’s mayor and city council have scheduled a series of called meetings to interview applicants for the city manager’s job.

Interviews will be conducted on Monday, Oct. 14 and Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. both days.

A notice from the city says the meetings will immediately go into executive session. No information will be released afterward.

Clarkesville is searching for a new city manager to succeed Barbara Kesler who resigned in August.

The city council work session scheduled for the third Tuesday of this month has been moved to Tuesday, October 22. Council members will set the city’s millage rate during that meeting which begins at 5:30 p.m. at Clarkesville City Hall.
