A White County man faces drug charges after people’s complaints led authorities to his door.

55-year-old Lamar Swindoll was arrested at his home on Skitts Mountain Road Wednesday. The joint operation involved officers from the Cleveland Police Department, White County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Community Supervision, and Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO).

ARDEO Special Agent in Charge Mitchell Posey says authorities found 19 grams of methamphetamine hidden in Swindoll’s residence.

The street value of the illegal narcotics is $2,000.

“This joint effort was taken after numerous citizen’s complaints,” Posey says.

Swindoll was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. He was transported to the White County Detention Center.
