Christmas in the Park opens Dec. 13

Cornelia City Park glistened with lights and Christmas music and laughter filled the night air during Christmas in Cornelia on Dec. 20.

Ice skating, hayrides, Santa, a birthday party and more

Each year at this time Cornelia gears up for one of its biggest celebrations of the year – Christmas in the Park. The annual three-day event opens Dec. 13. It will feature a variety of a family-friendly activities including pictures with Santa, hayrides, a holiday market and ice skating.

The event will also feature food vendors and live entertainment and a special birthday party to celebrate Habersham County’s Bicentennial.

After dark, take a ride through the park to enjoy the city’s light display. The lights are free and will be open to the public through the first of next year.

All events will be held in the Cornelia Community House and adjacent Cornelia City Park located at 601 Wyly Street, Cornelia, Georgia 30531.
