Cornelia, GA – The City of Cornelia will once again play host to the annual tradition of ‘Christmas in the Park’. Along with the spectacular light display at the park all month long, next week kicks off even more fun for the whole family. Times and dates of certain activities vary, but starting Wednesday, December 17, at 6 p.m. the City Park and the Cornelia Community House will be bustling with holiday activity.
Activities through the week this year include ice skating on the Fieldale Farms Ice Rink (located behind the Community House), the Christmas Market full of arts, crafts and merchandise vendors filled with unique gift choices, FREE visits with Santa and fun in his elf workshop located inside the Community House.
Thanks to generous donations from local businesses, the basement of the community house will be filled with free make-and-take craft stations and the children will get a chance to visit with Santa. Free visits with Santa will be available thanks to Shear Perfection Salon. Pictures with Santa will be posted on the Cornelia Main Street Facebook page no later than Monday, December 22nd. Visitors may also use their own cameras for photos.
