A Northeast Georgia fugitive has been arrested in Gwinnett County after being on the run for three weeks.
Henry Parker Whitley, 31, was identified as a suspect in a chop shop discovered on property on Tribble Gap Road. In addition to finding stolen heavy equipment, utility trailers and a U-Haul truck, Hall County sheriff’s investigators say they confiscated 1.5 lbs. of crystal methamphetamine, 17 grams of heroin and drug paraphernalia at his residence. They also seized $55,855 in cash, three rifles and a large amount of ammunition.
Gwinnett County investigators arrested Whitley on June 28. Authorities did not release details on the location or circumstances of the arrest. At some point, Whitley will be returned to Hall County to face charges, but the Hall County Sheriff’s Office says that the timeline has not yet been determined.
Whitley is also wanted on warrants in three other jurisdictions in North Georgia. He went on the run on June 7 when deputies showed up at his home in northern Hall County after being told he fled a traffic stop in Habersham County the night before.
Hall County investigators obtained search warrants for the property and found evidence of a chop shop. They arrested 24-year-old Faith Nicole Vickers of Oakwood at the scene and charged her with trafficking methamphetamine.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office issued felony warrants for Whitley for trafficking methamphetamine and heroin, a chop shop violation, tampering with evidence, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Whitley has a long criminal history with prior arrests in Hart and Gwinnett counties.
