It is less than a month until Christmas which means Christmas shopping will be kicking into high gear this weekend. If you are headed out be sure to bundle up because it looks quite chilly.
The front that pushed through early on Thanksgiving Day was just the leading edge of some much cooler air that will invade the region over the weekend. Sunshine is expected to dominate but temperatures will remain quite chilly compared to where we have been.
Highs on Friday will top out in the mid/upper-40s for most of the region. Winds will remain gusty, particularly through the first half of the day, with gusts of 15-20 m.p.h. possible.
Saturday morning will see the coldest air of the season thus far with a hard freeze expected region-wide. Highs on both Saturday and Sunday will run in the upper-40s or perhaps low-50s in the warmest spots.
A reinforcing shot of cold air will move through on Sunday night with some very cold air to kick off next week.
Have a great weekend!
