Chesser scores twice and defense shines in win over Commerce

#5-ranked Tallulah Falls got back on the winning track with a 3-1 victory at home Friday against Commerce.

The Lady Indians scored less than 10 minutes into the game on LB Kafsky’s goal as a result of a corner kick.

With 40 seconds to go in the half, Jenna Chesser doubled the lead, with the assist coming from Ryleigh Kate Wilson.

Commerce pulled with a goal in the second half before Chesser notched her second goal of the contest with eight minutes remaining, with Bailey Crumley tallying an assist. The defense was outstanding, as Kyndal Anderson racked up 15 saves between the pipes.

TFS is now 6-3 overall and 5-1 in region play.

The Indians earned a 3-0 win against Commerce on Friday night by way of a forfeit. The Tigers sited not enough players to compete.
