This weekend, Chenocetah Tower will be open to the public for tours inside the building. “We are so excited to be able to manage this property and we are ready to show it off,” says Cornelia Community Development Manager Jessie Owensby.
The tower will be open Saturday, July 22 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, July 23 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Historian, Lonny Cagle, will be at the tower both days to walk people around and talk about the history of the tower.
Admission is free.
The tower is located on top of Chenocetah Mountain off of Chenocetah Drive South in Cornelia.
