Should Georgia taxpayers have to pay state officeholders who are suspended from their jobs after being indicted for felonies?
Should local governments and school boards be allowed to grant temporary tax relief to those whose property is damaged or destroyed in a nationally declared disaster area?
Should the state grant certain ad valorem tax exemptions for timber and family-owned farms?
Those are just a few of the questions Georgia voters will be asked to decide when they head to the polls starting Monday.
In addition to those state constitutional amendments and referendums, voters in Habersham will decide whether to allow Sunday by-the-drink alcohol sales and if they’re willing to pay a penny more on the dollar to fund transportation projects.
With polls opening Monday, now is a good time to review your ballot and see what else you’ll be voting on. Below are the ballots for Habersham’s nine precincts.
For those living outside Habersham County, you may check your precinct’s sample ballot by logging into your MyVoter Page on the Georgia Secretary of State’s website.
