Charlie Price Hicks, age 94, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at his residence following an extended illness.
Born on February 13, 1927, in Flowery Branch, he was a son of the late Claude and Lizzie White Hicks. Mr. Hicks served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a retired Poultry Farmer and a member of Good News Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hicks was also preceded in death by brothers, Walter Hicks and Jay Hicks both of Cleveland.
Survivors include wife of 74 years, Geralene Tomlin Hicks of Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law Mitcheal and Sandra Hicks of Cleveland; grandchildren, Allyson Jones (Steve), Brandon Hicks, and Heath Hicks all of Cleveland, and Jared Hicks (Bea) of Dawsonville; great-grandchildren, Emilee Jones and Chase Hicks; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are 11 am on Thursday, March 11, 2021, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Good News Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
