Charles Arch Harris, Sr., age 63, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
Born on January 18, 1959, he was a sixth-generation native of Habersham County and son of the late Charles I. and Mary Harris. Charles was self-employed and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Demorest. He enjoyed road trips on his motorcycle, as well as, car shows and collecting antique cars. He was known by his granddaughters as “Grumps,” and by many of his friends as “Harley Charley”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Lynn Morgan and Nancy Hunnicutt.
Survivors include wife, Melinda Nix Harris of Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Arch and Jane-Adelia Harris of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; granddaughters, Charlotte Adelia Harris and Abigail Jane Harris; sisters and brother-in-law, Cherrie and Bill Cottrell of Mt. Airy, and Renee Carr of Clarkesville; in-laws, Ansel Nix, Richard Nix, Rhonda and Doug Fowler; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A Celebration of Life service is scheduled from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Level Grove Student Building, 1725 US 441 S, Cornelia, GA 30531.
