Charges are pending against a Cleveland driver who hit and seriously injured two people on a motorcycle Wednesday night in White County.
The wreck happened around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Town Creek Road and Ga. 115.
Robert Lee Martin, 43, and Shelly Doolittle Martin, 39, both of Dahlonega, were injured in the crash, according to Cpl. Joshua Hedden of Georgia State Patrol Post 6 in Gainesville.
Hayden Cooper Walters, 20, was driving a Toyota Scion east on Town Creek Road when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection. He struck a Harley Davidson in the southbound lane of the highway, according to Hedden.
The State Patrol’s Troop B Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team assisted in the investigation.
The wreck shut down the road for several hours.
