Miss Chandler Louise LeCroy, age 24 of Athens passed away Sunday January 15, 2023 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.
A daughter of Larry and Christy Chapman LeCroy, she was born June 8, 1998, in Hall County, Georgia, having lived most of her life in Toccoa. She was a 2016 graduate of Stephens County High School. As an SCHS student athlete, Chandler’s Competition Cheer team won the school’s first ever Region Championship and their highest placed finished at the State Competition. After graduation, Chandler continued to be an active and invested part of the cheer program. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia in 2020 with a Masters Degree. She was employed with the University Of Georgia Athletic Department as a Recruiting Analyst. Chandler loved Georgia Football more than anyone we knew. She gave up so much of her time to help in recruiting whether that be hosting recruits, using her incredible skills to make cards to send to families, decorating event spaces with her amazing vision and helping plan recruiting days and so much more. Her passion and love for Georgia went into everything she planned and created.
She had a way of making each and every prospect and their families feel like her own family. Her love for the current Georgia football team didn’t go unnoticed. She would spend as many hours a day as she could to the program helping out in any and every way she could
Her job didn’t stop in recruiting. She made it her responsibility to help every single entity in the building, whether that be defensive and offensive support staff, nutrition, equipment, operations and any department that needed a helping hand. Every department of Georgia Football lost a member of their team and she will forever be missed. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Toccoa and had participated in many mission trips with the church over the years.
