Carolyn Cabe, age 76, of Alto, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023.
Born on July 9, 1947, in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Beveridge and Dorothy Henegar Sanders. Mrs. Cabe worked as a home health aide for over 20 years and worked at Global Tech for five years. She was the owner and operator of Heavens Touch Florist for 15 years. Not only did she serve others in their homes, but she also served her community by being on the Alto City Council for many years as well as Alto Vice Mayor. Carolyn was an animal lover and avid outdoors enthusiast who enjoyed all things art, including crocheting, painting, and embroidery. Her Christian faith was shown as others recognized her as a mom and by loving her family dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Cabe; brother, William Sanders; and stepfather, Lee Rohabach.
Survivors include her sons, Lee Cabe of Alto and Scott Cabe of Kansas; grandchildren: Michael Cabe of Mt. Airy, Amanda Cabe of Alto, Ayla Cabe of Alto, and Abbie Cabe of Kansas; great-grandchild, Carson Cabe of Mt. Airy; brothers, Fred Rohabach of Morrow and Lee Rohabach, Jr. of McDonough; and several nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at a later date.
