Athens-Clarke County Police are seeking the public’s help to find a Carnesville man accused of sexually assaulting a UGA student.
Investigators obtained arrest warrants for 19-year-old Dionicio Guadarrama for rape, aggravated sexual battery, and sexual battery. Police are actively searching for him but say he may have fled the area.
Guadarrama is accused of assaulting the 20-year-old female during the early morning hours of Feb. 23. The alleged rape happened off-campus. The woman met Guadarrama and another person in downtown Athens and accepted a ride from them. The assault occurred in the vehicle during the ride, according to police.
