A Carnesville man is facing multiple drug charges after a tip led police to his residence on Sunday, Feb. 9, according Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
Police say deputies responded to a camper in Carnesville following information that Michael Walter Willis, 71, was allegedly selling drugs from the location.
At the residence, deputies allegedly detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the camper. Through a window, officers allegedly observed Willis handling what appeared to be a green leafy substance, which he later admitted was marijuana, according to police.
After granting deputies entry, a search of the camper led to the alleged discovery of a pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine, multiple baggies containing marijuana, digital scales and a small bag of mushrooms.
Willis was taken into custody and transported to the Franklin County Jail without incident. He is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a schedule I controlled substance and possession of drug-related objects
