A Clarkesville man escaped serious injury this morning when his car overturned on GA 17.TFC Aaron Walden of the Georgia State Patrol Post in Toccoa says 60-year old David Evans was traveling north on Hwy. 17 near Amys Road when the accident happened.
“The driver stated a vehicle had stopped in front of him and he attempted to avoid striking the rear of the vehicle by swerving off the east shoulder of the roadway,” reports Walden.
Evans’ vehicle struck a culvert and overturned onto its roof in the northbound lane. Evans walked away from the accident with minor cuts.
