While thousands are milling about the Clarkesville Square this Saturday enjoying a taste of the city, shutterbugs will be walking around trying to capture the action…and ambience.
Clarkesville Main Street and North Georgia Technical College are teaming up for the Capture Clarkesville Photo Walk, a photography contest designed to capture the energy and vibrancy of Downtown Clarkesville. Organizers say the contest is open to all types of photographers- from professional to amateur- using all type of cameras.
The contest will take place during the 5th Annual A Taste of Clarkesville Food & Wine Festival- an annual event that draws over 3,000 visitors to the downtown square. The Photo Walk begins at 12 p.m. at the Clarkesville Welcome Center, located at 458 Jefferson Street. It ends at 2 p.m.
Cash prizes will be awarded for the following: Best in Show ($250); People’s Choice ($100); Winners in the following categories receive $25 plus a downtown gift card: People, Food & Drink, Architecture, and Abstract.
