Another business will face an administrative hearing with the Baldwin City Council on Monday, October 28.

Magic 777, a tobacco and vape shop, located at 455 Highway 441 Bypass in Baldwin will discuss the future of its alcohol license with the city council.

It is unclear what occurred at the business to require an administrative hearing with the council. However, this is the third administrative hearing scheduled this year for businesses violating the city’s alcohol ordinance.

In April of this year, Los Cerritos, located across the highway from Magic 777, was cited for serving alcohol to a minor. Alto Mountain Grocery, located on GA 365, was also cited for the same offense at the same time.

Both Los Cerritos and Alto Mountain Grocery, were fined and required staff to receive additional training related to the sale of alcohol.

The media was notified of the administrative hearing on Tuesday, October 22. Now Habersham contacted Baldwin Police Department and requested a copy of the initial incident report related to the matter. On Friday, October 25, a spokesperson for the police department responded, “Your requested report has not been approved for release yet.”

The Baldwin City Council administrative hearing will be held on Monday, October 28, at 5 p.m. in the Baldwin Municipal Courtroom at 155 Willingham Avenue in Baldwin.
