A brush fire Thursday morning got out of control and spread to a vacant mobile. The fire occurred on Bethel Temple Spur off of Habersham Mills Road.
According to a county press release, firefighters were dispatched to 690 Bethel Temple Spur outside of Demorest. The fire occurred at around 9:30 a.m.
“This morning, we had a subject come up to the fire station on Habersham Mills Road advising that he had a brush fire that had gotten out of hand,” said Habersham County Emergency Services Captain Matt Ruark.
Firefighters responded to the scene and found the vacant single-wide mobile home burning. Firefighters had the fire contained within about 30 minutes.
No one was injured in the fire. The mobile home was a total loss.
