Bruce Alan Hughes, age 62, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Sunday, April19, 2015.
Mr. Hughes was born on September 30, 1952 in Murphy, NC. to the late Robert Lee and Julia Lee Hughes. He was a member of Charity Baptist Church, and was a retired employee of Windstream Telephone Company. He had also served in the National Guard Reserve. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters, Christine Worley, and Rebeca Worley.
Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Reba Bryson Hughes, of Cornelia; son, Mark Hughes of Commerce; sister, Ruth Hughes, Murphy, NC.; brothers Walter “Pete” Hughes, of Alto, and Robert Hughes, of Pine Log, NC.
Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Charity Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Smith officiating.
