Highway 365 near the Habersham/Hall County line is back open to traffic.

Earlier this afternoon, law enforcement shut down all lanes after an accident involving an overturned vehicle. The accident happened around 4 p.m. just south of Tribble Gap Road near Jaemor Farms.

Cpl. Joshua Hedden with the Georgia State Patrol says 85-year-old Roderick McDonald of Winder was traveling west on Jaemor Farm Road in a Lincoln Mark LT. He attempted to cross over the northbound lanes of the highway and pulled into the path of a 1999 Toyota Camry driven by 52-year-old Robin Wise of Cornelia.

Hedden says the Camry struck the Lincoln in the left side. After impact, the Lincoln overturned onto the driver’s side.

McDonald and a passenger in his truck, 82-year-old Hatha Rae McDonald also of Winder, both suffered minor injuries. Wise also sustained minor injuries.

Roderick McDonald was cited for failure to yield.

The accident shut down Highway 365 near the Habersham/Hall County line for approximately one hour.
