The Town of Mt. Airy has lifted the Boil Water Advisory it issued for some water customers on Wednesday. The advisory was issued as a precaution after water service was interrupted to install a valve on the main line.
Mt. Airy water customers who were under the advisory may now return to normal water use.
The affected areas were: Mimosa Drive, Judy Lane, Demorest-Mt. Airy Highway, Blair Road, Hwy 197, Mutts Drive, Refuge Terrace, Ivy Hills Subdivision and any address on Dicks Hill Parkway higher than 1231.
