Bicyclist hit by car in White County
CLEVELAND – A female bicyclist was struck by a vehicle Sunday morning in White County.
Sheriff Neal Walden confirmed the accident, saying preliminary details are that a male driver was traveling south on Georgia 75 Alternate near Loudsville United Methodist Church when the collision occurred around 10:15 a.m.
Walden said the driver attempted to turn left onto John Head Road and struck a female riding a bicycle.
According to Walden, the female suffered a cut on her leg and other injuries. She was taken by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
The accident remains under investigation by the White County Sheriff’s Office, and no further details are immediately available.

Warriors Fight Hard But Fall To Buford 49-3
(Cleveland)- It was a night that the White County Warriors would like forget, as the Buford Wolves came into town and dominated the game all night.
Game of the Week: Warriors vs. Wolves
The White County Warriors had another tough night at home Sept. 18, this time against the Buford Wolves. The two teams faced off in Region 8-AAAA action. Buford scored 28 first half points en route to a 49-3 win over the Warriors on Homecoming night.
Buford suffered its first loss after 41 straight wins two weeks prior to McEachern, but started what the team hopes will be a new streak on Friday.
