My grandmother had a standing quote when life’s storms hit. She’d take a sip of her coffee, place the cup back down on the table, and in a calm manner utter, “This too shall pass.”

Music

Music was a constant in our house. I like to joke that between Mom and Dad, I received a very thorough music education. Every Saturday night was the same: 7:00 “Hee-Haw” with Dad followed by “The Lawrence Welk Show” at 8:00 with Mom.

Warriors Get 26-11 Win Over Madison County

(Danielsville)- The White County Warriors battled for a 26 -11 win over Madison County Friday night to pick up their first win of the season. The opening play resulted in a touchdown by Madison County’s David Metts, but by the end of the 2nd quarter, White County had cut the lead in half with a 67 yard touchdown by Nasser Clark, bringing the score at halftime to 11 to 6 in favor of the Red Raiders.

The second half opened with a bang with Dane Quinn bringing White county to the top with a touchdown about mid-way through the 3rd quarter.

White County’s offensive streak continued throughout the rest of the game with Nasser Clark’s touchdown in the 3rd quarter, and Bradley Hurst’s extra point, bringing the score to 19 to 11.

The 4th quarter saw the excitement continue when Madison County fumbled the ball and it was picked up by Jake Sulhoff, allowing Adam Johnson to score with Bradley Hurst’s extra point bringing the final score 26 to 11.
