Betty Ann Bleckley, age 76, of Cornelia, Georgia went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.
Mrs. Bleckley was born on November 9, 1945, in Franklin County, Georgia to the late Leland and Louise Patrick Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Doug Bleckley; sister, Frances Moore Anderson; and a nephew.
Betty Ann was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She was retired from Chenocetah Retirement Home where she had served as a CNA. Betty Ann had also worked several years as a hairdresser at Styleorama in Cornelia. After retirement, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren, watch her soap operas, and listen to rock music. She was known to her grandchildren and many others as “Mi-Mi”.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and David Beasley, of Cornelia; grandchildren, Logan Howard, of Cornelia; Greyson Howard, of Cornelia; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Gail Moore, of Toccoa; sister, Brenda McWhorter, of Rockdale; three nieces; and a host of cousins as well.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2022, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Shannon Irvin officiating. Interment will be held at the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church Cemetery in Clayton.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 13, 2022, at the funeral home.
