An absolutely beautiful week is expected across North Georgia.
Sunshine will dominate most of the week as high pressure builds in across the southeastern US. You can see this in the image below as the “finger” of yellow/orange that moves out of the southwest. A cold front that is due in on Thursday is shown as the deep blue/green.
While we are under this high pressure we’ll see some very warm temperatures. To date, most of the region is running around 5-6º above normal for the month so far and that number will go up a bit more this week with daily highs reaching well into the 60s. Some of the warmer spots will reach into the low-70s on Tuesday and Wednesday.
A cold front will bring a chance of showers to the region on Thursday and will cool us off on Friday with breezy conditions behind the front.
