The Be A Tourist in Your Hometown Contest runs May 5-11. It’s sponsored by the Habersham Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with National Travel & Tourism Week. Over $2,000 in prizes will be awarded to three lucky winners.
It’s easy to enter.
Simply download or pick up a FREE passport from multiple locations, including the Habersham Chamber of Commerce office. The passport contains 40 attractions throughout Habersham County. Many locations are offering specials or discounts to passport holders. Explore these locations and collect stamps or selfies at each stop. Visit at least 15 of the stops to be eligible for the prize drawing.
Return your completed form to one of the designated drop-off locations listed on the passport by 5 p.m. on May 13. The Chamber will draw for the winners and announce their names on May 14.

Reconnecting and exploring
Habersham Chamber President Mary Beth Horton says the contest is meant to encourage locals to reconnect with their communities. She describes it as a sort of scavenger hunt. “The Be a Tourist in Your Own Hometown contest gives locals a wonderful opportunity to explore the amazing places right here in our own backyard!” she says.
