Final preparations are underway at Raider Stadium in Mt. Airy for the annual Battle Of The Heroes. The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office takes on the Habersham County Fire Department in flag football. Kick off is tonight at 6pm. Organizers say the game will go on rain or shine.
The game is a fundraiser for the Easton Foundation which was established in memory of Easton Singleton of Alto. The 17-year old Habersham Central High School football player was killed in a car wreck on April 26, 2012.
Tickets are available at the gate: $5 Adults, $3 Students.
All proceeds benefit the Easton Foundation that supports programs and scholarships for local youth.
