Authorities have identified the man found dead earlier this year inside a burning motorhome in Gainesville as 69-year-old Tony Hudson.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirmed Hudson’s identity to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office this week. Forensic analysts used DNA to make a positive identification.
The sheriff’s office says the investigation continues into Hudson’s exact cause of death. Foul play is not suspected.
Hudson’s body was discovered on the afternoon of March 22, when Hall County Fire Rescue personnel responded to a fire call at the small motorhome located behind a residence in the 2200 block of Barnes Drive. Officials say Hudson had been living in the motorhome with the property owner’s permission.
