Barbara was a devoted Christian whose life was a testament to her faith. Her commitment to spreading the teachings of Christ extended beyond the walls of her local church, as she later taught Sunday school at Habersham Retreat. Driven by her desire to serve others, Barbara embarked on several mission trips with Get Real Ministries, bringing hope and assistance to communities in need; and also volunteered in her own community through Meals on Wheels. Her compassionate nature extended to her profession as a nurse, where she cared for many throughout her lifetime. Barbara served as a nurse at Fieldale Farms and Habersham Retreat, leaving a lasting impression on those she cared for. Her dedication to the nursing profession was evident in her service at various other locations, including Habersham Medical Center.
Throughout her life, Barbara held fast to her favorite saying, “This Too Shall Pass,” a mantra that encapsulated her resilience and optimism in the face of adversity. Her unwavering faith, coupled with her compassionate spirit, touched the lives of all who knew her.
