Barbara Ann Cleveland Carpenter, age 80, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025.
Mrs. Carpenter was born on October 27, 1944, at the Charm House in Clarkesville, Georgia, to the late Donald and Lucille Batson Cleveland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Cleveland.
Barbara was a graduate from Piedmont College where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree. She retired from the State of Georgia, where she served as a social worker for many years. Barbara had a passion for Antiques and was an Antique Dealer, owning and operating Country Clutter for over 50 years. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Robert “Bob” Carpenter, of Demorest; son, Lee Carpenter, of Helen; grandson, Andrew Carpenter, of Cleveland; brother, Glenn Cleveland, of Sarasota, FL.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 3, 2025, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Rev. Terry Rice officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the funeral home.
