Funeral services are scheduled Thursday for a Baldwin woman who died as a result of a Labor Day car crash in Banks County. 85-year old Bobbie Caudell Taylor was injured in a single car wreck on GA 198 east of Dailey Road around 12:30 Monday. She died while being life-flighted to the hospital.
Georgia State Trooper 1st Class Spencer Munger says Taylor’s Buick was traveling east on GA 198 when it ran off the shoulder of the road, went down an embankment and hit a tree.
He says Taylor was the only one in the vehicle. She was wearing her seatbelt. It’s unknown at this time what caused her to lose control.
Taylor was retired from the Banks County School System as a secretary with 30 years of service. In her obituary, she’s remembered as a woman who “enjoyed gardening, yardwork, flowers and watching Gaither gospel shows. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.”
Funeral services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2015, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home in Cornelia with Jerrell Beatty and the Rev. Roy Rogers officiating.
Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
