The Baldwin City Council will swear-in its newest council member during Tuesday’s council meeting. Nancy Lehman defeated Mark Mullinax during the city’s special election last week for the Council Post 2 seat. She will fulfill the term vacated by Joseph Satterfield this past summer.

The council is expected to approve its 2025 city calendar during the meeting. The 2025 city calendar outlines the city’s holidays, council meetings, and events for the 2025 calendar year. However, the events calendar will not be finalized until sometime in January.

The city council will consider approving proposed ARPA funding allocations for various projects and equipment with the remaining funds that were dispensed by the federal government after the pandemic.

It will also consider purchasing two police vehicles through a lease/purchase program for the police department. The city is currently in the same program for police vehicle purchases that was approved over a year ago.

The Baldwin City Council will meet Tuesday at 6:30 in the Baldwin Police Department Training Room behind the police department located at 155 Willingham Avenue in Baldwin.
