Baldwin will hold a public hearing on zoning, receive code compliance report

Baldwin will hold its next regularly scheduled City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 27, at 6:30 p.m., at the Baldwin Municipal Courtroom, located at 155 Willingham Avenue in Baldwin.

It will hold a public hearing for a zoning variance and receive a code compliance report, among other business matters.

The council will open the floor to public comments, with local business owners Nick and Amanda Morris of The Hollow Log set to speak.

Public hearing, zoning matters

The city council will hold a public hearing Oak Terrace variance ordinance , allowing for further discussion and community input. Following the hearing, the council will consider taking action on the second reading of the ordinance.

In new business, the council will hold the first reading of the Briceno zoning change ordinance, introducing a proposed zoning change for further review and deliberation in upcoming meetings.

Code Compliance Officer Chris Thomason is scheduled to deliver a departmental report, providing updates on compliance activities and enforcement.
