Baldwin sets date for lighted Christmas parade

This year’s Habersham County Christmas Parade is going to be “electrifying.” That’s because the annual spectacle will be held in the evening and will feature lighted floats.

The 2016 Habersham County Christmas Light Parade will be hosted by the City of Baldwin and is scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. on December 3rd (rain date December 10th).

But that’s not all. The parade is just part of a day filled with fun holiday events that Baldwin has planned.

Baldwin – which hosts the county’s Christmas parade on a rotating basis with Clarkesville and Cornelia – is bringing back its Christmas Village Festival. The festival, which will be held in Mitchell Gailey Park prior to the parade, will feature crafts, food, games and entertainment, plus pictures with Santa.

After the parade the city will hold its annual Christmas tree lighting.

If you’d like to be a part of this special community-wide Christmas celebration it’s not too early to register as a vendor or parade entry. For applications call (706) 778-6341 or email [email protected].
